The first thing you have need to do when preparing the data for export, is to choose a source language on the “Export Content” in the 'Export Content' tab. To do this, you have to select a language you are planning to translate your EPiServer content from, in the “Select source Language” please use the 'Select source Language' drop-down list.

When source language is selected, you have to please pick the content you want to translate. Available content (pages) of your website is represented in a tree-structured way in the “Select content” 'Select content' area. For your convenience, you can easily navigate from this tree directly to a specific content by clicking with the content link.

Content shown here depends on a language you have selected. For example, if you choose german languageGerman, the select content section selection will represent include all the german German content.

So if If you want to pick couple several pages, you have to please move them to the “Content to export” section. This is easily done by clicking 'Content to export' section. In order to do this, just click the corresponding arrow icons next to each content element. This moves pages to the “Content to export” section. In a similar way, you will be able to remove selected content selected for export from export section, if you’ve added it by mistake. In case when required. If you want to translate all the website content represented in “Select content” the 'Select content' section, you can use the shortcut - buttons “Add contents” and “Remove all the contents” 'Add contents' and 'Remove all the contents' shortcuts respectively.

For more convenience there is also You can also use a set of filters which will help you to find specific particular content you need. The filtering will be applied to the content which is represented in the “Select content” Filter will only cover the content from the 'Select content' area. To open/hide filter settings area you can use “Show Filer” and “Hide Filter” buttons. Following filtering options will be available for you, use 'Show Filer' and 'Hide Filter' buttons. Below is the list of available filter options:

  • “Search” 'Search' - allows you to find specific search content by name. Search is triggered once you press the “Enter” 'Enter' key (with “Search” field focused) or click “Apply filter” button'Apply filter'.
  • “States” 'States' - allows you to filter out content in a specific by state.
  • “Last 'Last modified after” after' - allows you to filter the search content which was last time modified after a specific date.“Last
  • 'Last modified before” before' - allows you to filter the search content which was last time modified before a specific date.

Filtering settings are applied once you click the “Apply filter” button. For more convenience you can also use the “Clear filter” button to reset the filtering fields

The default one is “‘langcode’_content.zip”, but you can change it if you want. After that - press “Download” button and archive will be downloaded. . Once done, press 'Download' to download the archive.
