The "Find and Replace" function allows you to find content and replace it automatically. You will find the feature useful when you have to add perform several text replace replacement operations. To use the "Find and Replace" function perform the following operations, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the 'Utils' tab.
  2. Select the master language , now to view the page content is displayed. 
  3. Select the source content for which you want to run the find and replace function. For instance the , to choose the mother parent page content, place a check mark the box near the contentit.

4. After Once you select a content and click the "Find and Replace" button, you will see the following section will become available for you.menu:

5. Here you can either enter a string you string you want to find or a regular expression into the "Search term" field, or a regular expression for a match.

6. After you do thisOnce done, click the "Find" button. Now, all All the content sections which contain containing a match matching string will be shown displayed below.

7. There are a few settings attributes you could use when providing a search expression for better results. These settings arecan use to enhance your search:

    • Whole Word -  Defines defines whether a sub-string match should be used or not.;
    • Multi Line -  Multi multi-line mode changes the meaning of ^ and $ so that they match at the beginning and end , respectively, of any line , and respectively; not just the beginning and end of the entire string.;
    • Right To Left -  Specifies specifies that the search will be from right to left instead of left to right.;
    • Ignore Case -  Specifies specifies case-insensitive matching.;
    • Text Encoding -   States that indicates that a search should be performed throughout a the content which passed the text encoding phase.
    • Tags Encoding - States that indicates that a search should be performed throughout a the content which passed the tag processing phase.

8. Besides that, you will also see the id\name and a type of a content , the section being found belongs to. So you can You'll be able to overview the matches you have 've got in both , HTML and Text modes (remember that in if you choose the "Text" mode, the match matching string will not be highlighted in the section).

9. After Once you've found necessary matches and over viewed overviewed the sections, you can enter a replace replacement string or a regular expression.

10. Place a check mark near the sections you want to apply replace.Check the boxes next to the relevant sections. 

11. Now, click Click the 'Replace' button.

12. After Once you click the "Replace" button , a pop-up will appear.


13. Click 'OK'. Now, all the matches in sections you have checked -in, will be replaced by the iLangl system automatically.

14. The replacement results will be displayed as shown below.

Note: To enable you to control when the information must be published after content is replaced there are two options There are two ways to handle content replacement: replace or replace and publish:

  • If you place a check mark on the 'Replace and Publish' option before hitting the 'Replace' button, then your change changes will be applied and published at once.
  • If you leave it unchecked it, then a new version is created and it will will be created but not be published at once.
